The Muppets Meet Rock Band 'OkGo'

The Staring Contest: Muppets Vs. OkGo

This was an internet cross over waiting to happen. You probably already know that the Muppets have become quite the internet sensation with their cover of Queen's classic "Bohemian Rhapsody." They also have a lot of other great videos and have garnered a huge following at their Muppet's Studio page on YouTube. What you may not know is that Alt. Rock band OkGo has also made a career out of viral video. They are really good musicians but they wouldn't be nearly as popular as they are with out buzz videos like their "Here We Go Again" video which features the band dancing on treadmills and their videos for "This Too Shall Pass," One which features the band playing the entire song accompanied by a high school marching band, and the other video for the same song that has the band jumping from stunt to stunt in real time through the worlds largest Rune Goldberg machine.

This video is actually a lot more than a crossover video. it is actually an odd little slice of internet culture as not only are both subjects viral video icons, but this video was shot back stage at this years "Webby" awards(awarded to the best and most popular of the web). This video also features a hilarious cameo by comedian turned Hollywood actor Zach Galifianakis, who had been doing stand up for years, but had only become well known because of several internet videos he did. The reason his cameo is so funny, is because part of his shtick is his serious, deadpan expression he wears upon his face, which he struggles to maintain as the video progresses. If you are not familiar with the Muppet's or OkGo's videos, we have a small sampling below. Under that is the hilarious "Staring Contest: Animal vs. Danimal." Great stuff! -Admiral Duke

With Toy Story 3 hitting theaters this weekend, it is no surprise that Disney music is pulling out all the stops. This week they release not only the soundtrack to the film, but also "Toy Story Favorites," a collection of tunes from all 3 Toy Story films. Included on the album is this great version of "You've got A Friend In Me" as performed by The Gypsy Kings. You can hear this song on DisFanRadio or you can watch the video, right now.. There are alot of shots from the film and it will surely get you more energized about Toy Story 3.

Welcome To DisFanRadio

It has been a whirlwind week here at DisFanreview, and the result is nothing short of awesome. This week we begin a new chapter. That chapter is entitled, DisFanRadio. For nearly a year We have hosted a live radio show on Reedy Creek Radio. For quite some time the owners of RCR had expressed interest in passing off the station. After a lot of deliberation we finally decided it was time to make the leap, and last week the deal was made final. DisFanradio is a completely new type of Disney fan radio. instead of heavy blocks of Disney parks music, We are making a radical change. During the week we will feature a contemporary mix of Disney Soundtrack music, Covers of Disney classics, and shorter versions of your favorite Disney parks music. We are trying to shake things up to create a fun way to enjoy that Disney radio magic. We are also working a friendly and straight forward webpage that will be easy to access for all. That will be up and running in a few days. Most things are not changing. We still have a great collection of podcasts, ROPE DROP: DisFanReviews morning show is still going strong and MouseMagic Live is, as always taking you calls on our airwaves. But, change is coming. We say a hearty farewell to Mousetalgia podcast, which will be moving on to other broadcast fields. We wish them luck, but remember you can still download their wonderful podcast. We are working on adding one of the best Disney podcasts out their to our line up and working on a brand new live show... Change can be good, But we are hoping that change will be awesome. Here at DisFanRadio.
